Coronavirus COVID-19

At the heart of the matter, it’s a matter of the heart.

The health and wellness of the people of our community is our number one priority.

Based on CDC guidance and new Federal Regulations, Beth Haven Nursing Home and Pleasant View Assisted Living are actively screening and restricting visitors.

Effective immediately, Federal Regulations restrict visitation of all visitors and non-essential health care personnel, except for certain compassionate-care situations, such as end-of-life situations. In those cases, visitors will be limited to a specific room only.

As a result of our most recent testing we are sad to inform you that 2 staff members of Beth Haven Nursing Home have tested positive for COVID-19. They are currently quarantined at home. With this result we will be testing all residents and staff twice a week for the next two weeks.

At Beth Haven, the safety and well-being of our residents and staff is our top priority.

We continue to work closely with the Marion County Health Department and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. We continue to follow their guidance and protocols and that of the CDC and CMS to contain further spread of COVID-19.

Beth Haven continues to take the following additional steps:

  • Masks are being used by all staff.
  • Temperatures are being taken for all staff when they enter the building.
  • Temperatures are being taken for all residents daily and they are being monitored for symptoms of respiratory illness.
  • We are working with the State of Missouri on testing for all residents and staff.

In compliance with the lasted directives from the Federal and State government we are testing all staff and now residents twice a week. This is because of the positivity rate for Marion County. Marion County is currently designated as a hot spot, and the goal is to ensure we are aware of any positive individuals as soon as possible.

We will always test anyone who shows signs or symptoms to assist in early detection.

We are continuing to shelter in place and observe social distancing. Even though some things in Missouri are being opened up, long term care is not.

Again the safety of our residents and staff is our top priority.

Please continue to keep the residents, families and staff of Beth Haven in your prayers as we all work through this difficult situation.

The State of Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has a website with the latest information. Please visit for further information and regular updates.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

Beth Haven. At the heart of the matter, it’s a matter of the heart.
